One of the many features in Invoice! WinPro is the ability to customize your labels for addresses and shipping and selected reports (Invoice, Credit, and Purchase Order). Both Customers and Vendors may use different style labels and while there several default sizes available through the Report Setup this allows you to change the label to fit your unique standards.
Custom Designer is broken down into 5 Major elements along with the task bar and drawing bar. The main work area is located in the middle of the window and allows you to design the form, adding elements, fields, etc. At the bottom you can choose to see the results by clicking on the Preview button to see how it will look when printed or the HTML view to see how it looks as a webpage.
Once you have designed a new label you simply save it and then when you are ready to print labels you select them from the Report menu. (Note All menu items and tool items have hot tips associated with them. To get a better understanding of what they do just touch the item with the mouse cursor and it will display a definition for that item.)
ToolBar
The Custom Designers Toolbar allows you to perform basic editor operations such setting the font, colors, and justification for the labels.
You also save the form by clicking on the button next to the close button on the left. After saving you then close the form.
Tool Box
You can select from the tool box the item you wish to place on the blank label.
Field List
The field list displays all the fields available for the label. Select the field you wish to print by the drag and drop method. (Click with the left mouse button and while holding the button down drag it over to the label. Then release the mouse button. A copy of the field will be placed in the location where you let go of the button.) (Note this is not available when designing an Invoice, Credit or Purchase Order. The fields are predefined and cannot be changed. You can however move them around, delete them or change the label for them.)
Property Grid
The property grid allows you to change properties for the selected item on the label, such as fonts, colors, borders, etc. If you wish to change the size/style of the label you are working with then click on the Customize report with Wizard. This brings up a label wizard to select the default label for use. (Note the wizard is not available for designing the Invoice, Credit or Purchase Order.)
